A lead screw is a slender, flexible workpiece. Because slenderness lacks sufficient rigidity and is easy to bend, bending and internal stress are important issues in lead screw processing. The current whirlwind milling process is still suitable, but it needs to be improved continuously, improve the level of existing equipment, and pay attention to solving the problems of tool quality, sharpening and measuring tools. The following describes the screw processing technology:
(1) Precision machining of the outer circle and thread can be divided into multiple processes, and the cutting amount can be gradually reduced, thereby gradually reducing the cutting force and internal stress, reducing the machining error and improving the machining accuracy.
(2) After each aging treatment, the center hole should be re-drilled or the center hole should be ground to repair the deformation caused by the aging treatment; and remove the oxide scale, etc., so that the processing has a reliable and accurate positioning base.
(3) Before each thread processing, add two L screw outer circles (the cutting amount is very small), and then use the outer circle of the screw and the center holes at both ends as the positioning base surface to add threads: gradually improve the thread machining accuracy.
(4) After each aging treatment, the center hole should be re-drilled or the center hole should be ground to repair the deformation caused by the aging treatment; and remove the oxide scale, etc., so that the processing has a reliable and accurate positioning base surface.
